Data residency

Data residency is the geographic region where a service’s data is hosted. It determines the applicable law and where data physically lives.

In Ubidesk, residency is chosen when the workspace is created, among the European Union, Canada and the United States. The choice determines where metadata, logs and session recordings are stored.

In practice

Residency is not changed casually: decide it before creating the workspace, since it carries your legal obligations.
